Empowering the Next Generation
The College is proud to support the next generation of financial professionals. This year, we invite CAAFP sponsors to partner with The College to support students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs), and other undergraduate institutions to attend CAAFP through scholarships.
Sponsor organizations who fund a student’s CAAFP attendance will have the opportunity to meet their student and attend a special Student Forum.
Purpose
Provide Black, African American and DEI-committed undergraduate students with an opportunity to attend the Conference of African American Financial Professionals (CAAFP), one of the largest gatherings of it’s kind in the country. Students accepted into the CAAFP NextGen Program will attend the conference, at no cost, including travel and lodging. (Additional details apply.) During the conference, students will attend relevant workshops and inspiring sessions with a diverse community of Black and DEI-committed FinServ professionals, entrepreneurs, academics, and executives. Post-conference, students can continue to network in an exclusive, online community, apply for a designation scholarship, and maintain engagement with the Center for Economic Empowerment and Equality. Program slots are limited.
Process
Students must be nominated for an opportunity to join the CAAFP NextGen Program. Students can nominate themselves or they can be nominated by someone they know. Students accepted into the program will be notified via email and provided with more information about the conference and program expectations.
