Key Impact Findings

Several statistics from the Omaha Community Foundation and The American College of Financial Services also highlight the benefits of the CAP® Program and community groups on both the members and the communities they are part of.

Members graduated from the CAP® program at a rate of 100%

Members facilitated over $9 billion in current and future charitable commitments1

In 2023, the average size of an account opened with the Omaha Community Foundation by a CAP® advisor is about seven times larger than the average of a non-CAP® advisor2

58% said they would have preferred to participate in a study group had one been available3

95% say the CAP® improved their ability to deliver advice on charitable giving strategies4

These organizations and the designation itself are capable of making a significant impact in communities, and this goes beyond statistics. The cooperation of numerous advisors working together improves communication among members.

By networking and studying together, philanthropic advisors in the community come to know one another, share effective strategies with each other, and work together to help clients reach their financial goals. According to Mark Weber, JD, MSFS, CLU®, ChFC®, CAP®, Omaha Community Foundation’s study group program facilitator, the prevalence of CAP® alumni in the community makes Omaha a more charitable place.
